Coaching Matters: Around the web June 2015

Welcome to the June 2015 edition of Coaching Matters, a round up of the articles I have found interesting in the month relating to coaching, sport science, physical preparation and skill acquisition.

I’ll keep it brief this month as its very hot so I am struggling to think and I tend to ramble on at the best of times! Special mention this month goes to Stuart McMillan and Jo Clubb.

Stuart has put out a magnus opus on his blog which is a must read no matter what or who you coach as it covers so much of the coaching process (it just happens to be in the context of strength development). It is 5 parts and counting as I write this and has some fantastic guest contributors. Check them out below.

A coach’s guide to strength development: Part I | Part II | Part III | Part IV | Part V

Jo has created a great resource which will be worth keeping an eye on as good online Continuous Professional Development can be tricky to find. Fortunately Jo has done much of the legwork for us so check out A Starting Point for Sports Science CPD Online – Sports Discovery Blog Jo Clubb

The whole point of this blog is sharing and interaction so if you have written or know of similar content that would be good for future posts then please let me know via Twitter @SiNainby.

Don’t forget to check out the Coaching Matters Live Round Up Tool, all the previous Coaching Matters blogs, my Notes From blogs of various lectures/CPD I have attended and various random thoughts on coaching.
